Reports have appeared in the Spanish press that the coach of the England national team, Sven Goran Eriksson, has contacted the leader of the Spanish championship, Real Madrid.
There were already rumors circulating that Eriksson would move to London after the European Championship. Sven-Goran Eriksson's contract with the Football Association of England is valid until 2006.
"If I had been offered to become the coach of 'Real,' I would have been really interested earlier," said Eriksson.
