In the Lithuanian national team, preparing for friendly matches with the Russian team, there have been some changes - it is now clear that the team will not be able to count on attackers and defenders for the match on August 18.
The club sent an official letter to the Lithuanian Football Federation, requesting permission for E. Jankauskas to miss the friendly matches as the team is preparing for the Portuguese Super Cup matches.
Last season's Champions League winner "Porto" sent six of its players to Greece, so now the remaining players are needed for their team. The Portuguese champions' club asked to take into account this situation and the problem that has arisen, so E. Jankauskas will not play in the friendly matches with the Russian team. He will be replaced by the striker from the "Sūduva" team.
Meanwhile, D. Česnauskas will undergo a meniscus operation, so he will also miss these matches.
