After the unexpected defeat of Turkey's "Trabzonspor" in the first round of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round, the head coach of the Kiev team, Oleksiy Mikhaylichenko, was fired. The former coach of the multiple Ukrainian champions had been in charge for two years.

The temporary coach will be the team's sports director, Jozsef Szabo. According to the official website of the "Dynamo" team, the coach was dismissed "in order to preserve the club's heritage and maintain its traditions." One of the main reasons for the dismissal mentioned in the statement is the poor performance of the team recently.

By the way, after losing at home to "Trabzonspor" 2-1, the "Dynamo" players, including a Lithuanian, recently also lost 2-0 to their biggest rivals, the Donetsk club.
