The club's sports director Henris Biancheris (Henri Biancheri) confirmed that the club is still interested in the possibility of acquiring club forward Nicolas Anelka.

The Principality club of Monaco is likely to try to loan out the player to replace Fernand Morientes, who has returned to the "Real" club.

H.Brancheris dismissed the possibility of loaning out Javier Saviola. He would only be suitable for the French if they paid a large part of the Argentine's salary.

"We are still considering the possibility of J. Saviola coming, but there are other players, like N. Anelka, - said H.Brancheris. "We cannot afford to pay his (Saviola's) entire salary, as everyone knows our not very good financial situation. Last season, F. Morientes was loaned to us almost for nothing, because "Real" paid most of his salary."

In July, "Monaco" acquired two high-class forwards, Javier Chevanton and Mahommed Kallon, but already coach Didier Deschamps stated that he needs at least one more high-class attacking footballer.
