Lithuania's national team today lost to the Russian team in a friendly match held at Moscow's "Dynamo" stadium, in which seven goals were scored.

Therefore, the team coached by Algimantas Liubinskas has completed preparations for the 2006 World Cup qualifying cycle. This year's fourth defeat - earlier losses included 2-1 to Israel, 1-0 to Belarus, and 4-0 to Portugal.
