The club rejected a £20 million offer for Wayne Rooney.
English national team striker has recently been linked with football giants like Manchester United and Chelsea. So far, none of these clubs have officially submitted an offer.
"I can confirm that we received a £20 million offer for Wayne Rooney from Newcastle," said an Everton representative. "This offer has been rejected."
The 18-year-old striker is currently injured. It is expected that he will start playing again in a couple of weeks.
