On Tuesday, the second leg matches of the UEFA Intertoto Cup final were played, after which the winners of the tournament were revealed.
For the second consecutive year, the clubs "Schalke" and "Villareal" triumphed, and this year they were joined by "Lille". These three teams secured a spot in the group stage of the UEFA Cup.

The Madrid team had a two-goal deficit from the first leg, but they managed to erase it in three minutes of the second half after Ibagaza's shot and Garcia Calvo's header.
In the 67th minute, a penalty kick was awarded to the visitors, but Jorge Larenos' attempt was stopped by goalkeeper Jose Reina, thus giving his team a chance to play extra time.
With no goals scored during extra time, penalty kicks were taken, where Reina saved four players' shots and became the hero of the day - "Villareal" celebrated a dramatic and hard-fought victory.
