Brazil's Juninho has signed a two-year contract with Scottish champions Glasgow. The player still needs to receive permission to work in Scotland. It is expected that he will receive permission before Sunday's derby.
The 31-year-old defender had hoped to stay at the club, but his opinion changed after the Premier League match against , where he was not included in the team's lineup.
This transfer should please the Scottish club's fans, who lost two main team players this season - Henrik Larsson and Lubo Moravcik.
"Juninho has proven to be a talented player both in the national team and in the Premier League," said Celtic coach Martin O'Neill. "I am confident that he can make a significant contribution to our team."
