The battles of the Spanish "Primera" division have begun. Three matches of the first round were played on Saturday. "Atletico" club started the season with a victory. The Madrid team defeated "Malaga" 2-0 at home. In another match, one of the championship favorites, "Deportivo", failed to win against the "Espanyol" club and played to a 1-1 draw. The third match between "Primera" division newcomer "Numancia" and "Betis" club also ended in a 1-1 draw.
