Both the club and the agent of Andres D'Alessandro, Marcelo Simonian, denied reports in the Spanish press that the young Argentine is moving to the team of La Coruña.

Both of Spain's biggest sports publications - "Marca" and "AS" - this week published reports that "Deportivo" had acquired the young Argentinian international for 12 million euros, but a representative of "Wolfsburg" told the press Klaus Fuhsas confirmed that this is pure nonsense.

"We have had no contact with any clubs regarding Andres D'Alessandro," Fuhsas said. "He is one of the best players in our team and we see no reason why we should sell him."

Fuhsas' words were also confirmed by the player's agent Marcelo Simonian.

"No one has contacted me about this. We have not discussed Andres with any team. All of this is pure nonsense."

D'Alessandro is currently in Athens, where yesterday he won the gold medal in the Olympic Games with the Argentine national team. The player is expected to return to Germany next week.
