They strengthened their composition with the Danish safe and Italian U-21 national team defender Giorgio Chiellini. Both players were acquired by "Fiorentina" from their "Serie A" rivals.
The 28-year-old safe Martin Jorgensen, who usually plays as a right-back, was bought from , where he has been playing since 1997. Meanwhile, the twenty-year-old Giorgio Chiellini was transferred to "Fiorentina" from Turin , where he was bought from "Livorno".
These players will contribute to the "Serie A" returning "Fiorentina", but the clubs that sold them will retain 50% of the rights to the players. In the club, Martin Jorgensen and Giorgio Chiellini will join other newcomers - Japanese safe Hidetoshi Nakata and Czech defender Tomas Ujfalusi.
The new Italian championship season starts on September 12th.
