Round 21: "Zenit" becomes the leader © EuroFootball.com

In the "Premier" League of Russia, after playing 21 round matches, the leader position was taken by St. Petersburg's "Zenit", surpassing the team of Samara "Krylja Sovetov".

Roberto Poska's team's winning streak was interrupted by Moscow's "Spartak" club, who won at home with a score of 3-1. Zenit took advantage of this by defeating the underdog "Dynamo" and moving up to first place.

Champions League participant "CSKA" needed a last-minute goal to secure a victory against "Saturn", and with 40 points, the "army men" overtook the Samara club.

Moscow's "Lokomotiv" found themselves in fourth place after unexpectedly losing on the road to Krasnodar's "Kuban". The misfortune continued for "Torpedo", this time losing to the "Shinnik" team.

The remaining three round matches ended in a draw with different results - "Rotor", "Moscow", "Rostov", "Alania", "Amkar", and "Rubin" clubs each earned a point.
