For a long time silent in the transfer market, an Italian club announced exchanges of five players with a team that has been relegated to Serie B.

The Italian national team forward has moved to Udinese, defenders Manuel Belleri and Emilson Cribari, while Empoli will add Syabonga Nomvethe and Sergio Almiron. Both clubs will own all five players, except for Nomvethe, who is only on loan.
