French national team and club forward Louis Saha suffered a knee injury. The 26-year-old forward got injured in yesterday's World Cup qualifying match against the Faroe Islands team, which the French won 2-0.
L.Saha left the field in the ninth minute of the match. He was replaced by the team's forward Djibril Cisse.
Representatives of the French Football Federation refused to comment further on this incident. They stated: "Louis has already flown to Manchester. For now, his work with the national team is done."
It is currently unknown how long the forward will be absent from the field. More details should be clarified once the player arrives in England.
