The new Italian championship season has begun. On Saturday, the first two matches ended with unexpected and identical results.

Both Milan teams, considered favorites of the league, failed to beat their opponents - the champion "Milan" played a draw at home with Tomo Danilevičius' "Livorno," while "Inter" could not overcome the resistance of the "Chievo" footballers away from home.

Tomorrow, the remaining 8 matches of the first round will take place, 7 of them starting at 16:00, and the kickoff for the "Sampdoria" and "Lazio" match will be at 9:30 pm.

2 - 2

15' [0 - 1] Dejan Stankovic

29' [1 - 1] Franco Semioli

37' [2 - 1] Sergio Pellissier

48' [2 - 2] Adriano

The first goal of the season came after a mistake by defender Cesaro - not noticing D.Stankovič approaching, he tried to clear the ball to the goalkeeper with his chest, and the Serbian wasted no time in putting his team ahead.

The hosts equalized the score in just under half an hour, when F.Semioli headed the ball into the goal after a pass from Lanna. Eight minutes later, S.Pellissier played with D.Franceschini, entered the penalty area, and defeated goalkeeper F.Toldo.

In the second half, after three minutes, Vieris cleared the ball to Adriano, who sent the ball into the corner of the goal from 18 meters with a strong shot. Later, both teams missed several opportunities, with Franceschini hitting the crossbar in one of them.

2 - 2

3' [1 - 0] Clarence Seedorf

9' [1 - 1] Cristiano Lucarelli (penalty)

47' [2 - 1] Clarence Seedorf

67' [2 - 2] Cristiano Lucarelli

8' Dida ("Milan"), 93' David Belleri sent off from the field.

Tomas Danilevičius was not registered for the match.

Although C.Seedorf scored the first goal quickly in the third minute, the Italian champions soon found themselves in a difficult situation: goalkeeper Dida brought down Vigiani in the penalty area and was sent off the field, conceding a penalty, converted by C.Lucarelli.

Despite the numerical advantage for the visitors, the home team played powerfully and created dangerous attacks. "Milan" started the second half just like the first - with C.Seedorf scoring again at the beginning. However, "Livorno" did not give up, and C.Lucarelli equalized the score with a precise penalty kick.
