Wales national football team coach Mark Hughes has received an offer to train the team. This was also confirmed by the Welsh Football Association.
The 40-year-old strategist recently stated that he would like to become the coach of one of the "Premier" league underdogs. The former footballer wore the "Blackburn" club jersey for two years during his career.
The Wales national team led by M.Hughes failed to qualify for this year's European Championship. In the ongoing World Cup qualifying matches, the Welsh also face difficulties. They only managed to draw with Azerbaijan away, and at home they also only earned a point in the match against Northern Ireland.
Representatives of the "Blackburn" club also confirmed that M.Hughes is the most likely candidate to succeed G.Souness who has left.
"Mark, as a player, spent two great years at the Blackburn club and it is in his heart," said M.Hughes's representative Dennis Roach. "That's why this is a job that interests him."
