After three consecutive defeats, another pre-season favorite club, "Marseille", finally secured a victory by beating "Bastia" 1-0.
In the championship, "Nice" club with Edgaras Jankauskas also started to perform successfully. This time, Nice beat "Rennes" 2-0, with the Lithuanian earning a penalty in the 36th minute, which was successfully converted.
