Madrid and Brazilian national team defender Roberto Carlos will soon become a full-fledged Spanish citizen - he will be granted citizenship of this country.
This means that the Brazilian will no longer occupy very valuable places reserved for non-European Union citizens in the "royal" club, which in turn means that the club will be able to enter the transfer market more freely in the winter.
Roberto Carlos will become a Spanish citizen starting from December.
