Spanish sports newspapers report that they intend to acquire the team's defender Anders Svensson. If the deal goes through, the Swede would most likely move to Spain this winter.

The 28-year-old defender has been representing "Southampton" since 2001, when he transferred from "Elfsborg" for 700 thousand pounds. He quickly adapted to the new team and is now one of the leaders of the club.
