The German "DFB Pokal" semi-final match has ended, where the Bundesliga leader Bremen's "Werder" defeated second league average team "VfB Lubeck" with a score of 3-2 after extra time.
In this match, the first two goals were scored by "Werder" players: defender Mladenas Krstajicas scored the first goal into his own net in the 11th minute, and midfielder Johann Micoud scored the equalizer in the 54th minute. After the main time ended with a score of 1-1, extra time had to be played. At the beginning of the extra time, the guests had an advantage and in the 3rd extra minute, "VfB Lubeck" player Ferydoonas Zandis scored a goal. However, the match did not end there, and in the 21st extra minute, Brazilian Ailton equalized the score, and just 3 minutes later, "Werder" midfielder Nelson Valdez secured the victory.
Bremen's "Werder" players will face the winner of the match between "Alemannia Aachen" and "Borussia Monchengladbach" in the final, which is scheduled for March 29 in Berlin.
