On Sunday evening in the Italian championship, the central match of the 5th round of "Serie A" took place, where crisis-hit and coach-replaced club "Roma" met the star-studded "Inter".

3 - 3

9' [1 - 0] Vincenzo Montella

45' [1 - 1] Esteban Cambiasso

51' [1 - 2] Juan Sebastian Veron

54' [1 - 3] Alvaro Recoba

57' [2 - 3] Francesco Totti

74' [3 - 3] Daniele De Rossi

The scoring in the match was opened by one of the most productive players of this season, Montella - he chested the ball down and struck it straight into the top corner of the goal. At the end of the first half, the score became level as after Recoba's pass, Cambiasso headed the ball into the goal.

In the second half, after playing six minutes, the guests were somewhat lucky when Veron's attempt deflected off Mexes and into the hosts' net. "Roma" psychologically crumbled and soon after, Recoba, receiving a precise pass from Stankovic, defeated the goalkeeper Pelizzoli with a strong shot.

However, just three minutes later, there was intrigue again in the match - Totti scored a penalty from 20 meters and marked his 100th goal in "Serie A" championship. The hosts recovered and in the 74th minute, De Rossi's shot once again leveled the score.

At the end of the match, both teams could have snatched a victory, but the encounter ended in a high-scoring draw, which didn't really improve the teams' position in the league table.
