The new head coach of the Estonian national team has been appointed, Dutchman Jelle Goes, replacing his compatriot Arno Pijpers who left the team last week. The new coach has already announced his team's lineup for the World Cup qualifying match against Latvia.

Although Jelle Goes has been appointed only temporarily, it is believed that his contract with the Estonian Football Federation may be extended later on.

At 34 years old, Jelle Goes is not a complete newcomer to Estonian football, as he has previously been the coach of the country's youth (U-21) national team and the technical director of the Estonian Football Association (EFA).
