Despite the wishes of the Lithuanian national team coach A.Liubinskas, on Thursday two postponed matches of the 13th and 16th rounds of the "A-League" took place.
The leader of the championship "Kaunas" missed the opportunity to increase the gap against the pursuers "Atlantas" and "Ekrantas" - the team from Kaunas failed to beat Vilnius "Vėtra" at home and played in a 1-1 draw.
Vilnius "Žalgiris" finally broke the streak of six winless matches by defeating "Šilutė" on their own field by at least a minimal difference, to whom they lost 0-4 last weekend.
By winning three points, Žalgiris secured the fourth position, as "Vėtra" has played one match less and now lags behind them by five points, while "Šilutė", in the sixth position, has nine points.
