The striker of the Lithuanian national football team and Samara has been involved in a car accident and will miss the 2006 World Cup qualifying match against Spain on Wednesday due to injuries.

It is reported that the 25-year-old player was rushing to the team's training in Vilnius when he got into the accident. Driving from Klaipėda, he lost control of the car near Rumšiškės, causing it to flip several times.

The player did not suffer serious injuries, and he will need at least two days of rest: "I will need two days to fully recover. There is no concussion, but I feel dizzy when walking. My knee also hurts, but fortunately I avoided more serious injuries."

The Lithuanian national team striker is a fan of speed. Last year in Klaipėda, he was fined for riding a sports motorcycle at nearly 180 kilometers per hour through the city streets."
