Italy: "Milan" rises to second position © EuroFootball.com

Over the weekend, nine matches were played in the Italian championship from the sixth round. The league leader remains Turin's "Juventus" team, defeating the season's surprise "Messina" team and achieving their sixth victory out of seven possible.

"Milan", defending their champion title, took advantage of "Messina's" loss by winning a tough match against "Cagliari" away and rising to second place. In third place, continuing without losses, is Verona's "Chievo", who unexpectedly managed to win against Rome's "Lazio" on the opponents' field.

Milan's "Inter" returns to the path of victories, breaking the resistance of "Udinese" at home. By the way, Italy's national team striker C. Vieri scored a goal after a long break, and two goals were scored by the unstoppable Brazilian Adriano. Together with "Inter", the second season victory was achieved by the "Roma" club, which was stronger in the match against the absolute underdog "Livorno".

At home, clubs like "Bologna", "Lecce", and "Brescia" also defeated their opponents, while "Fiorentina" and "Siena" played a draw. The only remaining match on Sunday evening will be "Reggina" playing against the "Sampdoria" team.
