Today, the head of the Professional Footballers' Association, Gordon Taylor, confirmed that the sample raised suspicions of possible doping. The results of a retest should be presented in the near future. Meanwhile, the player's agent Andrea Pretti stated that A. Mutu is shocked to hear such reports.
"The player is currently in London," the agent said. "He had gone to Italy for a few days, but has already returned. If the suspicions are confirmed, the Romanian could face a two-year disqualification.
