The matches of the 10th round of the German Bundesliga have been played. After the leaders' defeats, the competition at the top of the standings intensified, as the first-placed "Wolfsburg" is separated by only three points from the sixth-placed "Schalke". The "Bayern" club reduced the gap to the leader to a minimum by defeating them at home with a two-goal margin. Along with "Bayern", "Stuttgart" also has 20 points, but missed the opportunity to move forward again and had to admit the superiority of the defending champions "Werder" team on their own field. "Mainz" and "Schalke" teams share fourth to sixth places with "Werder", having respectively defeated "Hansa" and "Nürnberg" teams in their matches. After a victory against "Kaiserslautern", the "Hannover" club remained in seventh place, while "Bayer" stayed in eighth place after defeating their table neighbor "Arminia". The revival of the "Hamburger" team continues - after a change of coach, they won their second consecutive victory, this time crushing "Freiburg". "Bochum" rose from the bottom of the table by easily defeating the "Gladbach" team, while "Borussia" ended their series of failures by breaking the resistance of the "Hertha" club away.
