The only goal of the match scored by A. Johnson led to "Crystal Palace" winning against "Birmingham". In other matches, the bottom of the table "Fulham" unexpectedly defeated "Tottenham" coached by J. Santini at home.
"Everton" continued to play successfully in the championship. Having been at the bottom of the table last season, the Liverpool footballers won their 23rd point this season by playing a 2-2 draw at home with "Aston Villa". Meanwhile, "Charlton" suffered a second consecutive defeat, this time losing to "Middlesbrough" 1-2.
