Legionnaire from France Djibril Cisse most likely will not play this season. The 22-year-old forward broke his left fibula and ankle.
The Frenchman suffered the injury after colliding with opponent defender James McEvel during yesterday's match against . D.Cisse, who cost the English team 14 million pounds, was taken to the hospital and will undergo surgery on Sunday.
"Unfortunately, he will most likely not play this season," said a representative of Liverpool.
Interestingly, last year two other Liverpool players - Milan Baros and Jamie Carragher - also broke their legs during a match against Blackburn.
