Today, Thursday, FIFA made a final decision regarding the disqualification of 25-year-old Romanian Adriano Mutu, accused of doping use. It was decided that the player's disqualification will last for seven months. He will also have to pay a fine of 20 thousand pounds sterling (100 thousand litas).
The disqualification of the Romanian will end on May 18, 2005. During these seven months of disqualification, the player must undergo rehabilitation at a health center.
Mutu has already started treatment at one of the rehabilitation centers and will not appeal the sentence imposed on him.
Last year in London, Mutu was bought by an Italian club for 15.8 million pounds sterling (70 million litas). He started strong in the club, scoring four goals in the first three games. However, when former coach Mourinho arrived at the club, Mutu joined the bench of Chelsea club.
