The winner of the Lithuanian championship should be determined on the football field, not in the offices of officials - Panevėžys "Aukštaitija" stadium "Ekranas" will face defending champions "Kaunas" for the title, as stated in the official LFF announcement.
In response to the importance of NFKA decisions for Lithuanian football, the Lithuanian Football Federation, exercising its rights as the highest football governing body in Lithuania, decided to intervene in the affairs of the NFKA-organized "A League".
At the initiative of the President of the Lithuanian Football Federation, Liutauras Varanavičius, 16 out of 19 Executive Committee members (who could be reached) were contacted by phone and unanimously decided that the match between FK "Ekranas" (Panevėžys) and FBK "Kaunas" (Kaunas) scheduled for November 7th should take place.
LFF has already received an appeal from FK "Ekranas", but it was decided that procedural issues regarding NFKA decisions will be addressed in the usual manner next week.
