On Sunday evening, in the 10th round of the Italian Championship, defending champions "Milan" and vice-champions "Roma" met in a match.

1 - 1

6' [1 - 0] Andriy Shevchenko

49' [1 - 1] Vincenzo Montella

"Roma" last won at San Siro stadium 17 years ago, and this time, playing without several key players, the team had to settle for a draw. The capital team was missing injured defenders S.Perrotta and O.Dacourt, while C.Panucci and A.Cassano were not included in the lineup due to disciplinary issues. "Milan" also has problems as defenders J.Stamas and striker F.Inzaghi, who underwent surgeries last week, are unable to play.

At the beginning of the match, the hosts took the initiative and scored the first goal after six minutes - former "Roma" player Cafu broke through on the left flank and after his pass, Shevchenko from Ukraine sent the ball into the net. In the remaining part of the first half, Cafu was particularly active, but Shevchenko and Kaka failed to capitalize on their chances.

After the break, the visitors recovered and soon equalized when Mancini outsmarted G.Gattuso, passed the ball to V.Montella, who initially hit the crossbar, but was accurate on the second attempt.

Later, both teams exchanged dangerous attacks, but the result remained unchanged. "Milan" reduced the gap from the leader to 4 points and remains in second place, while "Roma" with 13 points shares positions 9-12.
