Round 11: "Juve" increases the lead © EuroFootball.com

In the Italian Serie A on Wednesday, the matches of the 11th round were played. The round was characterized by a lack of goals: four home teams secured minimal victories, one away team won by a landslide, two matches ended without any goals scored, and two ended in draws with goals.

The league leaders Juventus increased their lead in the championship after a hard-fought victory against Fiorentina, now having a six-point advantage over second-placed Milan, who failed to beat Marius Stankevicius' Brescia.

Udinese moved up to third place by successfully defeating Roma, who were unexpectedly crushed at home. Meanwhile, Inter Milan and Bologna ended their match in a draw, as did Siena and Lecce.

Chievo ended their three-match winless streak by defeating Atalanta and climbing to fourth place. Livorno demonstrated good form by narrowly defeating an injury-ridden Lazio at home.

Parma moved up from the bottom of the table after a victory against Reggina, while Sampdoria and Lecce's match ended goalless. The only remaining match of the round between Messina and Palermo will be played on Thursday.
