Reports have appeared in the English press that one of the most famous footballers in the world, David Beckham, will leave the England national team after the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
The 29-year-old Real Madrid star told the English daily "Daily Star" that he wants to play club football for at least a few more years.
"The 2006 World Cup will most likely be my final goal in the England national team," Beckham said.
Beckham's friends from the English team, Zinedine Zidane and Luis Figo, ended their national team careers just entering their forties.
