Yesterday (11 13) at a press conference in Leipzig, the official talisman of the 2006 World Cup in Germany was presented - the lion GOLEO VI, always carrying a talking football named Pille with him.
The talisman was presented by two football legends - Brazilian Pele and German Franz Beckenbauer. "My dream of being the official talisman has come true," GOLEO VI said at the press conference.
There is already a television series being created with GOLEO VI and Pille as the main characters. The talisman will start his work this Saturday in a friendly match between the German and Cameroon national teams at the new "Zentralstadion" stadium.
