Having played professional football for two decades, the Milan goalkeeper announced the end of his career.
The 38-year-old Italian confirmed that he is hanging up his gloves, but will continue working within the club: "I have decided. I am stopping playing matches. I am quitting football. This is the first time I officially announce it, so I am very emotional."
"Nevertheless, I will continue my mission within the 'Inter Campus' project, striving to raise the club's image," said the former Italian national team player to the official team website.
Toldo, before joining "Inter" in 2001, wore the jersey of the "Fiorentina" team for eight seasons.
