The strategist of the Spanish national team did not spare praise for his players after the victory in the World Cup semi-final.
The European champions defeated Germany 1-0 and secured a spot in the final, where they will face the Netherlands.
"These were special matches," said coach Vicente del Bosque. "I have to congratulate all my players, who both defended and attacked excellently."
He added: "I want to thank all the fans. They are an extraordinary source of joy for all of us."
When asked about the future opponent in the final, the Spaniard stated: "They represent a wonderful Dutch football school. I hope we will be able to relax controlling the ball and play with the character we have."
Meanwhile, Joachim Low, who leads the German national team, acknowledged the strength of their opponents: "The Spaniards can win any match because they know how to dominate. Stopping their attacks is extremely difficult. This team can beat any opponent."
Meanwhile, captain Philipp Lahm said: "Tonight was very tough. We knew that the Spaniards were favorites to win the tournament because they are a very strong team.
"We didn't play boldly enough in the first half, and after the break we had a chance, but we didn't take advantage of it. It's a huge disappointment."
