Germany's national team forward Miroslav Klose is struggling with back problems, so he may be forced to miss the match for third place against Uruguay.
"Klose has back problems, it is still unclear whether he will be able to recover in time for the match," assistant coach Hansi Flick said.
The striker's absence from the match would prevent him from overtaking Brazil's Ronaldo in the list of all-time top scorers in World Cup history. Klose currently has 14 goals to his name, while Ronaldo has scored just one more.
