Dutch national team coach Bert van Marwijk noted before the championship final that his team has nothing to fear.
The strategist himself admits that Spain is a very strong team and that is well demonstrated on the field.
"Spain is the best football country in recent years," the coach said. "Recently, they play a different, smarter football. Their task is not only to score goals. Are our opponents stronger than us? I don't know, but I believe that we can win, we just have to fear nothing."
"I'm not going to reveal how we plan to play, but I can say that we will be ourselves. Both teams have great players, have come a long way towards the final. No one will want to lose. We will play, we will try to win, hopefully the country will be proud of us in any case."
Meanwhile, Dutch forward Robin van Persie admitted that Spaniards are somewhat the favorites for the final.
"Perhaps Spain is the favorite for the final, but so what? We do not fall behind them in any way. I think the chances are completely equal. Spain also has weak points."
