Referee from England Howard Webb admitted that working in the World Cup final became the toughest challenge of his career.
The 39-year-old referee had to show as many as 14 yellow cards and send off Dutch defender Johnny Heitinga. Spain won the match 1-0 in extra time.
"On Sunday evening, I had the two toughest hours of my career," Webb's words are quoted by "Daily Mail". "I am physically and emotionally exhausted, but FIFA supports me a lot. I am not only talking about the final, but the entire tournament in general."
