On Wednesday evening, the Lithuanian national team will play the fourth 2006 World Cup qualifying match - Lithuanians will meet the representative team of San Marino. The match starts at 21:30, live broadcast on TV3.

In these matches, one of the leaders of the national team striker Edgaras Jankauskas, experienced a thigh muscle injury, will not be able to help the Lithuanians. It was already known earlier that the team will also be missing the injured A. Skerla and R. Poškaus, the sick T. Ražanauskas, and the disqualified N. Barasa.

After announcing the starting lineup of the team, it turned out that the main goalkeeper Ž. Karčemarskas has recovered from his injury and will be able to play. Skerla in defense will be replaced by T. Žvirgždauskas, R. Džiaukštas will assist him, A. Skarbalius and M. Stankevičius will play on the wings.

In the safety line, for the first time, we will see both Česnauskis brothers on the sides, and in the middle will be D. Šemberas and A. Gedgaudas. Meanwhile, instead of the injured main strikers, substitutes - T. Danilevičius and T. Radzinevičius - will take to the field. For the latter, these will be the first official matches for the national team playing from the beginning of the match.

The selection for the reserve bench for coach A. Liubinskis is not very large: goalkeeper G. Padimanskas, defender D. Žutautas, safeties A. Kučys, D.Vencevičius, S. Mikoliūnas, striker I. Morinas. All these players play in Lithuania and do not have much international match experience.
