"Serie-A" 27th round review © EuroFootball.com

All matches of the 27th round of the Italian championship will be played today, on Sunday. The kick-off is at 16:00 Lithuanian time.

We review all the matches:

- Marius Stankevičius' club will play at home against the last-placed "Ancona". The latter has almost completely lost hope of staying in the league, and a victory for "Brescia" would be a very important step if they want to distance themselves even a little from the bottom four.

- Although the Italian champions "Juventus" have many problems due to injuries and have not been able to win for several consecutive matches, the new coach of "Modena" G.Bellotto will have a very difficult task in the first matches. The Turin team has a great opportunity to return to the path of victory, as the bottom-ranked "Modena" is definitely beatable, and has been showing poor form lately.

- League leader "Milan" will try to overcome another obstacle towards the champions title - Luigi Del Neri's "Chievo". They have a big problem scoring goals - in the last five matches they scored only once, and it was a penalty kick. Meanwhile, the "Milan" attacking machine works perfectly, as they showed in the Champions League, scoring four goals against "Deportivo".

- Last week was tough for these teams, so this time they will try to redeem themselves. "Parma" is still aiming for fourth place, while "Empoli" is fighting to stay in the league. Both teams will seek victory, so the match should be open and interesting.

- The revived "Perugia" will clash with the troubled Romas "Lazio" at the Renato Curi stadium. The first ones seemed destined to be relegated, having played 21 matches without a win, but excellent maneuvering in the January transfer window may save them. The referee Racalbuto, assigned to these matches, has made several serious mistakes to the disadvantage of "Lazio". The last match between these teams ended in scuffles, three red cards, two goals in extra time, and sharp comments after the match.

- Criticized Milan's "Inter" is returning towards victories, determined to prove it by taking three points from Calabria. But it will certainly not be easy, as "Reggina" is in good shape, and coach G.Camolese has a full selection of players.

- The capital club is already 10 points behind the leader "Milan" and today they need a victory to keep their hopes alive in the fight for the champions title. "Bologna" is in good form, as they showed by defeating Romas "Lazio" in postponed matches on Thursday. "Roma" beat the Spanish team on the same day, but still dropped out of the UEFA Cup.

- The ambitious "Sampdoria" continues to chase a place in the UEFA Cup. This time their opponents will be "Lecce", who are on the brink of relegation. Initially surprising everyone with his goals, "Lecce" striker Javier Chevanton is now in a slump, and it has significantly affected the team's results. The outcome of these matches may depend on his performance.

- The "Udinese", nicknamed "Giant Killers", travel to Siena to face the poorly performing local team. Although all the advantages seem to be on the side of "Udinese", excessive confidence in their abilities could trip them up.
