Emile Heskey announced the end of his career in the England national team.
The 32-year-old striker recently played in the World Cup, making his debut for the national team in 1999. During that time, he played 62 matches and scored seven goals.
“I enjoyed every moment spent in the national team,” said Heskey. “I am proud to have worn the team's jersey.”
“I want to thank all the coaches I worked with, all the Football Association officials, as well as the fans. I wish the national team the greatest success in the future.”
