Thierry Henry announced the end of his 13-year career in the French national team.
The 32-year-old footballer, who recently signed a contract with the New York Red Bulls, first wore the national team jersey in 1997 in a match against South Africa.
During this time, Henry played a total of 123 matches and scored 51 goals, becoming the all-time leading scorer for the French national team.
However, the striker gained most recognition at the end of last year when his handball led to a crucial goal against Ireland, securing France's spot in the World Cup, where 'Les Bleus' experienced a disaster.
Henry later received a lot of criticism for this unsportsmanlike behavior, but he himself did not deny that he had broken the rules.
