Spaniards want to buy the octopus Paul who predicted the triumph in the World Championship © EuroFootball.com

The octopus Paul, possessing the talent of an oracle, is in high demand in Spain, but the aquarium leaders in Germany refuse to sell him.

Correctly predicting that the Spaniards would beat Germany in the semi-finals and the Netherlands in the final, Paul was recognized as an honorary citizen of the town of Karablino, which has 14 thousand residents.

A local businessman, wanting to acquire the octopus, also offered more than 30 thousand euros, but the offer was rejected.

The Madrid Zoo tried to borrow or buy Paul, but the directors of the Sea Life aquarium replied briefly: "We do not consider either selling or borrowing. Paul will enjoy retirement with us."
