Football can be a very rough game. This was confirmed by the referee Marcelo Miranda, officiating in the second most powerful Chilean football league, who was attempted to be beaten by one of the players.
In the match between the clubs "Concepcion" and "Rangers", passions boiled over in the second half when the referee awarded a penalty kick. Even three times the "Concepcion" players failed to convert the penalty, but each time Miranda saw a violation of the rules and ordered it to be repeated.
Finally, the fourth attempt was successful, and after a few minutes and incidents of rough play, "Rangers" broke through. Jose Pedroso's nerves couldn't take it - he attacked the referee and tried to beat him, but was stopped by his teammates.
After the incident, the culprit said: "I don't regret what I did. I understand that I will be punished and will no longer play for either "Rangers" or any other team. I am retiring from football so I can live peacefully with my family in Paraguay."
