On Tuesday, the schedule of the new season of the Spanish championship ("Liga BBVA") was announced.
The champion "Barcelona" in the first round will face Santander's "Racing" players in an away game, while "Mallorca" will host Madrid's "Real" team at the ONO stadium.
The first match between the Spanish giants "Real" and Barcelona" clubs will take place on November 27/28 at the "Camp Nou" stadium. The return leg "El Clasico" in Madrid will be played on April 26/27.
The new 2009/2010 season will start on August 28/29. Here is the schedule for the first three rounds:
First round (2010-08-28/29):
- Madrid's "Atletico" - Gijon's "Sporting"
- Pamplona's "Osasuna" - "Almeria"
- San Sebastian's "Sociedad" - "Villarreal"
- Barcelona's "Espanyol" - Madrid's "Getafe"
