Strategist Roberto Mancini admitted that he would like to see the leader of the United States national team, Landon Donovan, in his team.
Speaking before a friendly match with Lisbon's Sporting, the specialist acknowledged that the Los Angeles Galaxy striker is on the list of candidates.
"We have to wait and see what happens," Mancini said. "The transfer window is open until the end of August. It is realistic that the deal will happen, as Donovan is a good footballer."
Last season, Donovan was loaned to another English team, Everton of Liverpool.
