Irish national team defender Richard Dunne smiled as he acknowledged the news of the French national team's fiasco at the World Cup.
During the qualifying matches, the French controversially - after Thierry Henry's handball - eliminated the Irish, drawing their hatred.
"I didn't watch the game, but I laughed," said Dunne. "If you cheat to get into the championship, you can try to do the same in it, but they couldn't even do that!"
The French team withdrew from the championship in South Africa after the group stage.
