"Corinthians" club strategist Mano Menezes has agreed to become the new coach of the Brazilian national team. The 48-year-old specialist received the offer after "Fluminense" refused to negotiate a contract with Muricy Ramalho's buyout. "I accept the invitation to coach the national team with great satisfaction and honor," Menezes said. The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) chose from three candidates. It is believed that the third candidate was Luiz Felipe Scolari, although the post was also associated with Leonardo and Wanderley Luxemburgo.
